Start your new career as a 2nd or 3rd shift Machine Operator with MAU at Flexible Technologies in Abbeville, SC. As a Machine Operator, you will set up and operate automated machinery to manufacture small to medium-sized hoses and air ducts in a fast-paced production environment. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity.

• Multiple shifts available:
• First Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Second Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
• Third Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1+ years of manufacturing experience
  • Mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity
  • Ability to perform statistical process control (SPC) checks to ensure quality
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods, walk, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs
  What You’ll Do as a Machine Operator:
  • Set up and operate machines to assemble wire helix with reinforced thread
  • Read and interpret prints and process instructions
  • Change mandrels to accommodate different diameter sizes
  • Monitor and adjust machine speeds, extruder temperatures, and pressures
  • Check belt and wire tensions; maintain close tolerances
  • Ensure proper compounds and colors are loaded into hoppers
  • Operate various machines and rotate as needed
  • Use digital tools to conduct quality control inspections
  • Maintain production charts and complete daily reports
  • Identify and report machine malfunctions or wear
  • Support Process Technicians during complex setups
  • Perform trimming and packaging tasks
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned
