RN - Public Health Communicable Disease Nurse Location: Clinton, NC Contract Duration: 13 weeks ( extension options ) Hourly Rate: $37.50hr ( travel rates available ) Est Start Date: 12/1 Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Join Our Team as a Public Health Nurse II - Make a Lasting Impact at a Public Health Department! Are you passionate about community health and disease prevention? Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a dedicated Public Health Nurse to help lead and coordinate our Communicable Disease and Tuberculosis programs. This vital role focuses on education, prevention, and treatment efforts that help protect and improve the health of our residents. What You'll Do In this PHN role, you will: + Coordinate services related to communicable disease control, including tuberculosis. + Promote public health through education, awareness campaigns, and prevention strategies. + Provide clinical support and backup services for STD and adult health clinics. + Collaborate with community partners and healthcare providers to ensure effective disease management and outreach. What We're Looking For We're seeking a nurse with: + Strong knowledge of public health nursing practices, principles, and techniques. + Familiarity with community resources and the ability to coordinate services effectively. + Excellent judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills. + Ability to lead, supervise, and work collaboratively with others. Minimum Qualifications + Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing. + At least one year of professional nursing experience. + Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina.
