SALES REPRESENTATIVE
We are seeking a self-motivated Sales Representative to join our team and drive sales within the ice cream and bakery industries. This position supports the sales team working with customers in Philadelphia, New Jersey and the surrounding areas. This role involves developing and maintaining relationships with clients, identifying new business opportunities, and promoting products to shops and distributors in the area. The ideal candidate has a strong background in sales, excellent communication skills, and a passion for the food industry. This candidate must be able to communicate effectively with customers, prospects, and team members and engage in new opportunities each day.
Requirements
- Call on new and existing customers to promote I. Rice products
- Address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and provide product recommendations based on clients’ needs.
- Attend regional showcases and national tradeshows to promote products
- Coordinate sending samples to customers upon request
- Provide detailed weekly activity reports
- Communicate with the Marketing and R&D team to ensure product availability
- Engage with the company’s social media
Skills, Expectations and Education/Training
- Proven experience in sales, preferably within the food industry
- Ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships
- Strong negotiation and communication skills required
- Strong attention to detail
- Must be a self-starter and self-motivated
- College degree preferred, but not required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed
