Job Description

System One is partnering with a client in the Tulsa area that is in need of a Senior Accountant. This will be a contract-to-hire position that requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, and 6-8 years of experience. If this is something you would be interested in, apply below. 

• Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports

• Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions.
• Analyzes financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital, and prepares balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports to summarize current and projected company financial position.
• Examines a variety of accounting documents to verify accuracy and that they are properly supported in accordance with pertinent policy and procedures.
• Establishes, modifies, documents, and coordinates implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures.
• Devises and implements system for general accounting.
• Prepares routine working papers, schedules, exhibits, and summaries indicating the extent of the examination and presenting and supporting findings and recommendations.
• Completes other ad-hoc reports and other projects and assignments as required.
• Exhibit and practice professional and courteous behavior while interacting with both internal and external customers.
• Interact within a cooperative environment through beneficial behavior, commitment to common goals, contribution to problem-solving, communication of ideas and suggestions, and encouragement to other employees and departments.
• Accountable for the security of materials, projects and business information regarding the methods and techniques used in the production and usage of products.
• Accountable for the accuracy and completeness of assigned tasks.

• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.

• Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university 

• Minimum of eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge and expertise for this level usually results from internal progressive experience. However, selection for this position is based on the demonstrated ability of the person to successfully fulfill the requirements listed. 

• SOFTWARE KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:  Microsoft Office, Word and Excel
• EQUIPMENT KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: PCaDs, ten key and basic office equipment
• LANGUAGE SKILLS: Fluency in English, through both verbal and written communications; able to read and interpret documents; able to write
