**Job Description**
Join our team as a Refractory Technician, where your primary role will involve the tear-out and replacement of high-temperature concrete furnace linings in industrial manufacturing facilities. You will be part of a dynamic team using state-of-the-art, mechanized tear-out equipment to ensure precision and efficiency. This position requires a proactive approach to learning and mastering multiple skills, making you a versatile tradesperson in masonry, welding, carpentry, and insulating.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform demolition and replacement of furnace linings using mechanized equipment.
+ Apply masonry, welding, carpentry, and insulating techniques as per specifications.
+ Collaborate with team members to complete tasks efficiently and safely.
+ Travel extensively, up to 50% of the time, primarily along the east coast.
+ Adapt to varying work schedules, including first and third shifts, and flexible hours.
+ Maintain a clean-shaven appearance for respirator use and comply with safety standards.
+ Operate heavy equipment and use power and hand tools effectively.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience in construction, specifically in masonry, carpentry, and bricklaying.
+ Proficiency with heavy equipment operation and concrete work.
+ Mechanically inclined with a strong understanding of power and hand tool usage.
+ Possession of a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

**Work Environment**
You will work in diverse industrial settings such as power plants, boilers, cement plants, and foundries, where high temperatures are common. The work environment is typically hot and dirty, requiring a focus on safety and precision.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Allentown, PA.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $25.00/hr.
